This is an original body off of a 1977 Music Man Stingray Bass.  This has the original finish and would be a great banjo for a Stingray Bass project.

Description
This is an original body off of a Pre Ernie Ball Music Man Stingray Bass.  This has the original Sunburst finish which is a really cool thing.  The finish itself is in overall really good shape and has a nice glow to it.  There are some nicks and other pretty minor finish blemishes but this is a clean finish.  There is a section of finish that came off at the butt of the body under the holes for the string through body.  It appears as though someone filled that in with sharpie or something like that to touch it up.  In addition there is an upside down T section under the space where the bridge attaches that was also filled in with some sort of black substance.  This particular black area does not effect anything even cosmetically because it is under where the bridge would be.
The body has a Thunder Pocket which is a routed area under the pickups with two channels that helps big time with tone.  This is dated February 25, 1977.  The body weighs 7 pounds and 2.4 ounces.
