This listing is for a lovely Georgian Sterling Silver vinaigrette made by Thomas Shaw, c. 1826. This nice vinaigrette features a center cartouche on the top for monogram (unused) surrounded with engraved decoration with an engraved floral design on the back. The interior is gilded with a hinged reticulated section for holding a sponge wafer for holding fragrance. The hinge is tight to the box itself and the interior section opens and closes correctly. Marked on the interior lid and interior base with English hallmarks for Birmingham, Sterling, with date code for 1826 and with maker's stamp for Thomas Shaw.
Measures 1" long, 5/8" wide and 3/8" deep.  Weighs 10 grams.
This nice vinaigrette is in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaw.
