Minisubmarine Biber pilot overall

Description

Rare mini-submarine leather suit with wool liner made for Biber mini-submarine pilots in Kleinkampfgruppen. Zippers of Nurnberg type (same as for German Luftwaffe pilot gear).
Origin is Norwegian NW coast, but exact base is not known. Most likely the minisub base outside Kristiansund (Gjengstøa) or the base near Molde where several Bibers were stationed in the last year of WWII.
Pilot suits did not have any rank, vessel or unit distinctions. Some suits had the kriegmarine eagle embossed in the leather, but no patches were worn on these uniforms. Tailor marking has been removed.
