Description

This is a vintage Global brand short scale Gibson EB3 bass copy. It is Cherry Red in color, was made in the Hondo factory in Korea, and sold through the Montgomery Ward catalogue between 1969 and 1975.
This bass was a pawnshop find and is all original, except for: replacing the knobs with closer-to-original models, replacing the bridge, and replacing the nut with a bone nut.
Original bridge and nut are included.
The body is plywood like many guitars from that period.  It is very solid, yet light.  The truss rod works fine and is stable.  It has been set up. There is fret buzz sometimes on the 5th and 6th fret of the G string, and the 15th fret of the E and D string.  This does not come through the pickups much if at all.
It is very playable and I have gigged with it several times with no problems.
Please note this is a 50 year old instrument and has various nicks and belt buckle rash, all of which I tried to capture in the photographs.  None affect playability or function.
The bass will be shipped well packed in a guitar box obtained from a major guitar retailer.
This is a great bass at a great price!
